Training – Week Beginning 12th October 2014

Monday 13th October

Out the back path to do a lap of Riverdale via Ballycorr Road, left back onto Ballycorr
Road, right up Ballyeaston Road, left onto Charles Drive, to the end, turn right up Rashee
Road to Victoria Road turn right and go to the end then turn back crossing over to
Readers Park, do a lap then into Rathmena Park for a lap and out Hillmount Avenue
turning right onto Rashee Road, then right onto Doagh Road, left at the Chapel down
Ollardale leading to Avondale Drive and turn right then cross over to the park taking
path onto the Mill Rd next Ballynure Rd and in.

For a 4 mile route return to Leisure Centre after Readers park via Rashee Road and Asda. To make it just over 6 miles do a lap of Grange Valley.

Wednesday 15th October

Meeting from Rugby Club, out the lane turn left down Doagh Road, then right down
Ollardale, left onto Avondale Drive, left onto Main Street, straight up to Rashee Road leading to Victoria Road, turn back through Rathmena and back to RFC.

Include up & down Victoria if you want another mile and for shorter, turn left at Square when coming up the Main Street and do Highgrove before heading back to RFC.

Alternative: Hill work at Huntingdale

Run Safely Presentation 2014

‘Run Safely Presentation’ by Neighbourhood Policing Team

Wednesday 15th October CAH will meet at BALLYCLARE RUGBY CLUB for training.

Warm up as usual at 6.30pm and leaving for run or hill work at 7pm.

After training at 8.15pm in the Rugby club we will be receiving a presentation from the Neighbourhood Policing Team regarding running safely on the roads. The Rugby club doors will be open from 6.40pm if you need to use the toilets.

Please everyone plan to attend as this has been arranged especially for your
safety and well-being.
Hi Viz is imperative as the rugby club lane is not lit up and even wear head torches if you have one in your possession.

Monday 6th October

Out Leisure Centre, left on to Ballynure Road, Henryville Estate to bottom and up, turn right onto Ballynure Road and left into Hollybush Gardens, leading into Collinview Avenue to the end and turn right onto the Green Road till you cross over to Mill Road to the end and turn right over footbridge taking the path leading to Avondale Drive and then turning left then right to do a lap of Grange Valley (up Grange Valley Ave then right onto Grange Valley Green then 2nd right down Grange Valley Drive) then back onto Avondale Drive turn left up Hawthorne Way leading to Ollardale Park straight up on to Doagh Road.

Those only wanting 4 mile turn right to go back to Leisure Centre via Square and Mauds; those wanting more turn left towards the graveyard doing Huntingdale estate on left and Highgrove Estate on right as your miles dictate then back along Doagh Road and in.

Run out to Doagh and back as daylight fading and for extra miles do Huntingdale and/or Highgrove and in via Main Street, Ballynure Road and Leisure Centre.

Wednesday 24th September – 2 routes available different distances 4-6 miles

Out Leisure Centre turn left past vets to end of the Ballynure Road, turn right onto Templepatrick line, right on to Mill Road, go along as far as Elm Church, left onto footbridge, do a full lap of the park, onto Main Street, Ballyeaston Road to end, Victoria Road, Rashee Road and in. For 4 miles leave the park via Elm Church and run into Leisure Centre via Ballynure Road.

Alternative Speed Work: Short distance speed work on the grass

Mon 15th September – 2 routes available different distances 4-7 miles

Main route out by Mill Road, Templepatrick Road, then left onto Ballyrobert Road heading towards Ballyrobert then right down the Longshot and in by the footpath. The shorter route turning right onto Lower Size Hill Road from Ballyrobert Road and in.

Alternative: Cross Country in six mile park.

Wed 17th September – 3 routes available different distances 4-7 miles

All routes out the back path an turn right onto Ballycorr Road, Main route turn left onto Church Road, right onto Lower Ballyboley Road, then right onto Lismenary Road, right at Ballynure and in by Templepatrick Road, Ballynure Road to Leisure Centre. Shorter route turns right onto Church Road down to Ballynure or even shorter via Ballyeaston.
