October 24 highlights

This month was filled with impressive races, personal bests, and memorable milestones!

Parkrun Milestones:

Neville Anderson celebrated his 250th Parkrun at Antrim where he began his journey in 2015 and has since run at 39 locations.

Carol Annesley celebrated her 350th Parkrun milestone at Antrim.

Martin Hull celebrated his 100th Parkrun at Sixmilewater, finishing first with a personal best on the 26th October.

NEW PARKRUN CLUB RECORD: Kerry Knipe set a new ladies’ Parkrun record with a time of 19.08 at Sixmilewater on the 19th October.

NI Masters Cross Country Trials: Members competed in the NI Masters Cross Country Trials, with Wendy Swann Forsythe placing first in her age category and securing a spot in the Masters International. Irene downey’s won a spot on the reserve list for her age category.

Marathons: Well done to Suzanne Kennedy who participated in the Lisbon marathon.  And well done to Helen for a very strong run at her first marathon at Amsterdam marathon. Also a shout out to Kris Kelly who completed his first marathon at the We run Wild Newcastle Way marathon and also well done to Claire Oliphant and Sarah Kinnear for adding this marathon to their impressive list. Four members tackled Dublin marathon. Congratulations go to Suzanne Dickey and Aaron Anderson for achieving personal bests on the course.

Cross-Country & Races: Several members participated in the Bobby Rea XC International, the John McKeag Cup XC & the Comber Cup XC, the Saintfield 5k/10k, and the GR8 Dundrum Run and the Valencia Half Marathon, showcasing their endurance and determination on challenging courses.
