Training – Week Beginning 4th January 2015

Monday 5th January

5 miles route: Out back path, lap of Riverdale. Onto Ballycorr Road, up Ballyeaston Road, along Charles Drive and up Rashee Road. Up and down Victoria Road, followed by Readers Park and then Rathmena. Down Rashee Road and back to leis centre via Asda path.

6 miles route: As above and then out Doagh Road and turn left at the Chapel and down Hawthorn Way to Avondale. Into Leisure Centre via Ballynure Road.

3 miles route: Out back path onto Ballycorr Road. Turn left along to Asda roundabout , then up Rashee Road, along Victoria Road both ways and back down Rashee Road to Leisure Centre via Asda. This 3 miler should be suitable for any new runners. Can leave out Victoria Road for 2 miles .Come along and join us – there will always be someone to run with and chat to!

Wednesday 7th January

6 mile route:  Out Leisure Centre lane, turn left onto Ballynure Road and towards Henryville, go to bottom and up and right onto Ballynure Road again then left at Hollybush and through into Colinview and come out and turn right onto the Green Road then up Main Street turn left onto Avondale leading to Grange Valley and do lap and half then out and turn left up Hawthorne Way and Ollardale and then left onto Doagh Road and do Huntingdale, Graveyard, Highgrove  then back to Leisure Centre Mauds and Home Bargains.  

5 mile route: only do 1 lap Grange Valley and leave out Huntingdaleand, Graveyard and just do Highgrove and back in by Doagh Road, Mauds and in.

3 mile route: Go out Leisure Centre lane turn right onto Ballynure Rd then right up Main Street and left onto Avondale Drive and do lap and half of Grange Valley, then left up Hawthorne Way and Ollardale and right at the Chapel onto the Doagh Road and in via Mauds and Home Bargains.

Alternative:  1 mile warm-up, 1 mile repeats with 800m jog in between, 1 mile cool down
