Congratulations to our awesome Harrier Chris Hopkins, who finished in 1st place at the Round the Springs 10K race in Greyabbey on Friday evening. Chris finished in a blistering time of 33:57 minutes.
Pint & Pieathon – 2nd July 2023

If I told you there was a race that involved getting alcohol and pies at every mile then naturally you would expect to find a few harriers at the starting line dressed to drink and run with a few giggles and wobbles along the way. This charity event for Music and Mind is an amazing social event that attracts all sorts of creatures that dance, sing, and bring some fun into this hilly four mile route that turned out a lot more when not running in a straight line. A massive well done to the organisers and to everyone who participated.

Larne AC Interclub Race – 16th May 2023

The infamous Interclub race was back tonight for the first time since 2019. This year for the first time the route changed from a down and up course to an up and down course with women running 4 miles and men running 5 miles Twenty one harriers made their way to the start at the Feystown GA club with the majority boarding the Vengabus. The tunes were pumping and the craic was mighty on the bus.
Thanks to Leslie-Ann, South Antrim Community Transport and Karen Wilson for organising the bus and to Robert, our driver, for patiently waiting.
We also had a superb support crew with Rachel, Margaret, Irene, Ruth, John, David and Patricia. Thank you all for your encouragement and photos.
The course could be described as undulating with the majority of runners preferring the new route. After the race a wee mug of soup was had at the Ballygalley Community Centre but we were all craving a wee bun!
It was a special night with our own Chris Hopkins coming 2nd male with a time of 26:52 for 5 miles and our ladies coming in 3rd place for the team event! Well done everyone who ran and our worthy winners!
