6/10/19 Record Breaking Weekend for County Antrim Harriers
County Antrim Harriers fielded two Teams at the prestigious 2019 Northern Ireland & Ulster Road Relay Championships, hosted by Orangegrove AC. Conditions were perfect at Victoria Park and the Harriers were in fine form.
First up were Andrew Wilson, Sam Dunlop, Stuart Gowans and Thomas Waterfield in the Masters Mens race (4 x 3380m). The men gave their all and were rewarded with a superb finishing time of 49.55 to set a new Club Record. Not to be out done, Natasha Hewitt, Ruth Morrison, and Jana Ross swished their ponytails and pulled out all the stops, to also set a new Club Record (39.00) in the Seniors Ladies race (3 x 3380m)! The ladies were delighted to placed sixth overall and be the first placed County Antrim team.
Well done all.
28/9/19 Andrena Podiums at Causeway
Congratulations to Andrena Berry on her well deserved podium place at the gruelling Causeway Coast Ultra (40 miles).
Andrena, along with ten other County Antrim Harriers took to the trails of the beautiful North Coast for popular 26Extreme event. The Club was represented in the Ultra, Half and 10k distances, and despite glorious sunshine, recent rain had made the ground muddy underfoot, but this wasn’t a problem for any of the hardy Harriers.
The Harriers were supported and cheered around the course by fellow Club members. Well done everyone on another successful race day.
