Registration for the Clubs successful Couch To 5k programme is now open at www.countyantrimharriers.co.uk. The programme, starts on Monday 21st March at the Sixmile Leisure Centre, and will run on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-7pm, over 9 weeks, to help those (minimum age 18) who want to get up and get running in time for the Clubs May Fair 5k on Saturday 28th May. The £36 fee also includes free entry to Sixmile Leisure Centre the May Fair 5k plus race t-shirt and finishers medal!
Well done to Patricia Hamill on her well deserved podium place (3F) at Atlas Running Shane’s Castle Half Marathon. In perfect spring sunshine, Patricia completed the mixed trail and tarmac course in an impressive 1:47:22.

Congratulations to Chris Hopkins, on resetting the Club ParkRun Record yet again! On form Chris sped round Victoria Park, Belfast in a superb 16:06, taking 6sec off the Club Record he set in September 2021!

Saturday morning, saw the Club out in force to take over the volunteer roles at Sixmilewater ParkRun, and to help Wendy Forsythe celebrate her 100th ParkRun.

County Antrim Harriers is excited to announce that entry to the much anticipated May Fair 10k and 5k Races, on Saturday 28th May 2022, is now open. The Club is delighted that local firm Hanna Plastics, has come onboard as the main race sponsor. All finishers will receive a medal, and the first 400 entrants will also receive a race t-shirt. So what are you waiting for!

Chris Hopkins had a well deserved podium finish (3rd) at today’s Born 2 Run Castlewellan 10k – completing the testing course in a superb 35:11!
Congratulations to Sarah Kinnear, on her superb performance at unique Last One Standing event at Castleward; toeing the line of the tough 4.2 mile trail loop every hour for 26 hours! – running by daylight and torchlight; through various levels of precipitation; and on progressively tired legs!
Sarah’s preparation and determination allowed her to cover 109.6 miles PB (one of only 12 men and 2 ladies to do so), and help Team Ireland win the inter-home nation event.
